Home and Garden Show kicks off in Lawton

Posted: Updated:

Lawton, Okla._From landscaping to interior design, Lawton's Home and Garden Show has everything you need to tackle those home improvement projects.

It kicked off Friday at the Great Plains Coliseum with about 80 vendors set up.

Coordinators say the purpose is to bring all of the different businesses to one spot where shoppers can get everything they need.

"Kinda put it all together where they can look at energy efficient items and learn what's new out there in the marketplace, maybe upgrade their home in someway that would help them with their pocket books," said SWOK Home Builders Association President, Doug Ade.

The show is put on by the Southwest Oklahoma Home Builders Association. They say they have vendors and workshops for the whole family to enjoy.

The home and garden show runs through the weekend. The doors will be open Saturday from 9 to 6 and again on Sunday from noon to 5. Admission is only 3 dollars.
