Lawton man killed in Wichita Falls shooting

Wichita Falls, TX-  A shooting in Wichita Falls over the weekend claimed a Lawton man's life.

Officials say the shooting happened early Sunday morning near the corner of Sheppard Access Road and Scott Street. That's where officers say 22-year-old Rakim "Rock" Hicks of Lawton was killed. Another man, a 24-year-old, was also shot. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers say when they arrived at the scene, they found one person inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds. No word yet on which victim was found in the car. At last check, Wichita Falls Police had no one in custody.
