Geo inmate - hearing for early release scheduled Tuesday

Lawton,Okla_An Oklahoma prison inmate convicted of killing another inmate while serving time at Lawton's Geo Prison is asking for early release. Court records show a hearing to decide if Brandon Horne's application for a lighter sentence will be accepted is set for Tuesday afternoon.

Prosecutors say back in 2006, Horne and a fellow inmate, Michael Rose, were trying to extort money from Charles Willingham, but he would not pay.  The inmates said that's why they killed him.

Horne had been sentenced to 40 years in prison.
