Traffic stop could amount to some serious time for a Lawton man

Lawton,Okla_A traffic stop for not wearing a seatbelt ends with a Lawton man facing up some serious time in prison. According to an affidavit, officers stopped a car last Friday near the 2100 block of NW Bell Ave.

Anthony Rowland was a passenger in the car, and police noticed that he and the driver, seemed nervous. During a search, police found an open bottle of liquor and a gun in the car. When officers tried to arrest Rowland, he resisted.

They found a large amount of methamphetamine, bullets and a small bag of marijuana in his pocket. Rowland is facing several charges including drug possession with intent to distribute and resisting an officer.

No word if the driver is facing any charges.
