Posted: Updated:

Lawton,Okla_A homeless Lawton man who claimed he broke into a business last week to stay warm could face up to seventeen years in prison. According to an affidavit, officers responded to a burglary alarm at a business on SW "A" Avenue last Friday.

They looked through a window and saw Joshua Myers hiding behind a broken door inside the building.  Officers arrested Myers.  He told them that he broke in because he wanted to  stay warm. While being booked, officers found another person's debit card and identification papers on Myers.

They found out those items were stolen from a person's car earlier that evening. Myers is facing several charges, including breaking and entering and concealing stolen property.
