Oklahoma Highway Patrolman Dies of Sudden Heart Attack

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla._

The Department of Public Safety confirmed the sudden death of Oklahoma Highway Patrol Captain Rodrick Norwood.

The 18-year veteran, Captain Rodrick "Pete" Norwood, died early Saturday morning in an Oklahoma City Hospital.

Family members say Norwood was only 41 and died of a sudden heart attack.

They say he lived by example and was known for his bright and shining smile.

Norwood lived in Oklahoma City and has family in the Lawton and Anadarko area.
