Unusual wreck on Loop 335 knocks down power line

Amarillo, TX - An unusual accident kept Potter County and Texas DPS troopers busy Thursday afternoon.

Troopers say just after 1:00 Wednesday afternoon the driver of a pick-up truck possibly suffered an emergency medical condition. He lost control of the vehicle and drove his truck up the lines of a power pole.

The collision knocked a power line down and officers called Xcel Energy to the scene.

No one was injured in this accident.

    While donations are still rolling in, so far 23,500 pounds of food were collected in Lawton as part of the Letter Carriers’ Food Drive. “Thank you for donating and impacting the lives of our neighbors,” said Steve Riggs, statewide chair of the Letter Carriers’ Food Drive. “Hunger is a silent epidemic that is closer than you think. One in six Oklahomans face hunger every day.”
