Previous Story:

Amarillo, TX - One wanted felon is in custody after running from Amarillo police Friday morning, but another remains on the run.

From about 11:00am to 2:30pm Friday, Amarillo police were set up around a home in the 2600 block of Ridge mere, sending crews inside to carefully search through the attic and even crawl spaces in search of an armed and wanted felon.

Late Friday morning, three suspects ran from APD officers after those officers discovered a stolen vehicle outside the home.  They caught and arrested one man, who was armed, identified as 38-year-old Larry Weldon Harvey. He faces charges for Parole Violation and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Police also caught one female, but she was later released.

The third suspect, later identified as Joe Don Watson, the same man Crime Stoppers released in Thursday's Fugitive File, was believed to run back into the house.

"There's another individual that we're looking for that we know has been at the house recently, as recent as last night," said Cpl. Jerry Neufeld with the Amarillo Police Department. "He's definitely what we would consider armed and dangerous and is also a wanted individual."

Police completed the search of the home around 2:30 p.m. and were unable to locate Watson.  They believe he's still in Amarillo and is considered armed and dangerous. If you have any information on Watson's whereabouts, you're asked to contact Amarillo Police or Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400.
