FBI Agent Speaks to Cameron University CJ Students

Posted: Updated:

LAWTON Okla_ An FBI agent might just have motivated some students at Cameron to stay in school and finish their 4-year degrees.

Special Agent James Finch is the agent in charge of the Oklahoma City Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation: a position he's held since 2008. He's also been an investigator and a manager. He spoke Monday about what he loves about his job.

"The people, the people make the organization," Finch said. "Working with the people in the FBI makes it worth coming to work everyday."

He told the students about all the career opportunities that use backgrounds in everything from engineering to criminal justice and computer science.

Finch said it's always a good time to enter the law enforcement or national security field, even with the current sequester cuts. Monday's event was part of the 2012-13 Speakers Series hosted by Cameron's Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology.
