Storm Hits Texoma, Leaves Minimal Damage

LAWTON Okla_ Tuesday, Texoma saw everything from hail to high winds to ice and rain.

The hail was almost everywhere and in some areas, it was absolutely huge. Archer County reported baseball-sized hail.

Western Comanche County and the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge and the further west you went, the worse it got. Animals at the refuge must've been taking shelter; we saw very few except for a few brave deer on the side of the road.

Frederick Schools canceled classes Wednesday, after power went out Tuesday night. Officials were concerned it wouldn't be back in time for class. It is back on now.

The winds were as bad as predicted: 30 MPH sustained winds and 50 MPH gusts. Despite them, we saw little signs of damage.
