Dallas shootout suspect behind bars

Dallas, Texas - One man is behind bars this morning in Dallas after authorities say he went on a crime spree.

Police say 26-year-old Tyrone Allen shot and killed his pregnant girlfriend Monday morning.

When officers located him later that day, he fled in his vehicle.

Police say during the chase, Allen stopped and engaged them in a shootout, wounding one officer.

The chase then continued with Allen until he eventually ran into a house to hide.

After a standoff, police took the man into custody.
