UPDATE: Severe Storm Damage

Here is the latest update from the Comanche County Public Information Office on Wednesday's storms.

A severe weather outbreak hit Comanche County at approximately 4 p.m. As of 7 p.m. numerous funnel clouds and areas of rotation have been reported.

- A trailer between Elgin and Sterling was knocked off its base, trapping four occupants. All were

rescued with no injuries

- 20-25 homes suffered minor flood damage

Damage by Area:

- Indiahoma reported no damage

- Cache reported no damage

- Medicine Park reported heavy rain and flooding through houses. No other damage

- Wichita Mountain Estates Reported no damage but high potential for flooding is there

- Elgin reported no damage

- Porter Hill reported flooding by Tacklebox Road

- Lawton has numerous power lines down on west side at the Goodyear Plant

- Comanche County District 3 reported windows blown out and hail damage to vehicles

- Ft. Sill reported no damage


- Little Bear Loop neighborhood in Elgin is flooded



- Comanche County crews are heading to Medicine Park to open roads closed by debris and rock

from dropped from the mountain side.

- Porter Hill is flooded

- The Comanche Spur Casino is taking in water and beginning to flood. Power is out

- East Lake and West Lake in Medicine Park are impassable due to debris on the roads

- Numerous other side roads within the county are impassable at this time

- Holsey Acres Road is closed in front of 26199. Bridge is gone

- Cache Road and Gore in Indiahoma is facing major flooding

- Porter Hill Creek is flooded

- High water on Meers/Porter just west out of Elgin is high after and impassable

- Fletcher at I44 overpass have high water

- 277 and Glover Road is flooded and impassable

- Water crossing the road on West E Avenue in Cache

- The intersection of Gore and Airport Road is flooded

- Wolf Road east of Highway 49 is flooded

- Madische Road is closed

- Stony Creek Road is closed

- County Line Road, east and west of Stony Creek Road is closed

- King Road east of Stoney Creek is closed

- Meers Porter Hill, east of Trail Road, is closed

- Trail Road has high water

- Northern part of Comanche County is facing severe flooding.
