Fatal rollover in Castro County

Authorities are investigating a fatal rollover in Castro County.

DPS officials say 20-year-old Jonathan Ward of Hereford was traveling east on County Road 601 early Tuesday morning when his Tahoe began to drift near FM 168.

Ward over-corrected, the vehicle flipped and he was ejected.

He was pronounced dead at Northwest Texas Hospital

Investigators say Ward was not wearing a seat belt.

His passenger was uninjured in the accident.
