One man behind bars after standoff with Clovis Police

Clovis, NM - A man is behind bars after a four-and-a-half hour standoff in Clovis.

The Clovis News Journal says the standoff ended at a home in the 300 block of North Lea Street Tuesday afternoon.

Police arrested Cesar Rodriguez and booked him into the Curry County Detention Center.

It all started when police received a call about a couple from Portales who had spotted their stolen vehicle in Clovis.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver sped to a nearby Allsup's.

Then two women and a man jumped out and fled on foot.

The man, identified as Rodriguez, kept officers busy in front of a home until finally giving himself up.
