Single Car Accident On I-44

Lawton, Okla._A Lawton driver is lucky he wasn't seriously injured after police said he bounced off a guard rail twice. Police said the man was north bound on I-44 near Cache Rd. when he suddenly veered too far to one side of the road and collided into the guardrail.

Police said the impact caused the driver to lose control, cut across the lane and into a second guard rail. The car's airbags deployed and one of its wheels was completely ripped away. The driver did not appear to be seriously injured and no one else was hurt.
