Amarillo, TX - Approximately 45,000 dollars worth of marijuana was found by Potter County deputies during a traffic stop last night on I-40.

Officers say when they pulled the vehicle over they were able to smell burnt marijuana coming from inside the car.

The woman driving the vehicle admitted to having about five pounds of the drug stashed in a suitcase in the trunk.

Officers say the drug was purchased in California and was being transported to Georgia.

Both the woman and her male passenger were booked into Potter County on a third degree felony charge.
