Lawton man sentenced for beating his girlfriend

LAWTON,Okla_A Lawton man convicted of brutally beating his girlfriend after an argument back in January will serve three years in prison.  Demario Pearson pleaded guilty to the charges this week.

Prosecutors say Pearson and his girlfriend argued after he tried to discipline her daughter. They say Pearson became enraged and threw her on the floor, got on top of her and then bit her on the lip and chest.

He then grabbed a glass vase and broke it over her head. Pearson even grabbed a picture frame and used it to beat her and her daughter.  Court records show Pearson has been in trouble with the law before, on a non-violent offense.
