Son-in-law arrested in Love County double killing

Posted: Updated:

MARIETTA, Okla. (AP) _ Authorities have arrested a 65-year-old man on two first-degree murder complaints in the shooting deaths of a brother and sister in rural Love County.

Love County deputies and Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agents arrested Aaron Eugene Carlile on Wednesday night for last week's deaths of 78-year-old Thomas ``Sunny'' Culwell and 80-year-old Almenia Culwell.

OSBI says Carlile is the son-in-law of Thomas Culwell. The siblings were making repairs to a fence on Carlile's property in Love County when they were shot to death. Hunters discovered their bodies late Friday night.

Carlile is being held in the Love County jail. Authorities did not know if he had an attorney.
