Two Amarillo men facing weapons charges are behind bars

Amarillo, TX - Two Amarillo men facing weapons charges are behind bars.

Just after 2am Amarillo police responded to gun shots and found a car that matched a witness description traveling east on Amarillo Boulevard.

Officers gained consent to search the car and found a hand gun in the back seat. Two passengers were also arrested.

29 year-old Yancey Phea faces several weapons charges including possession of a firearm by a felon.

23 year-old Blake Welch is charged with unlawful carry of a weapon.
