Teen assaulted at local club

Amarillo, TX - A 19-year old is now recovering after being cut at an area night club over the weekend.
Amarillo Police say they were called to the scene at Wild Card and saw a man carrying the teen out of the club with a cut across her chest.

After an initial investigation, police determined that a fight between the 19-year-old and possibly three other females broke out inside the bar.

Witnesses say the girl was stabbed or cut by glass from a broken cup. No arrests have been made at this time and the incident remains under investigation.

Yesterday, with just one day left in the legislative session, the Governor Mary Fallin held a press conference in a last-ditch effort to convince Representative Scott Biggs (R) Grady County, to hear four criminal reform bills that she said would reduce the prison population by keeping more non-violent offenders out of prison, saving the state $200-million a year.
