Hail damages car and home windows in Amarillo

Hail damaged hundreds of windshields and window panes during Tuesday's storm.

Jeff Taylor, owner of Clayton's Glass in Amarillo, told us they have been overwhelmed by the number of calls they have been receiving about broken windshields. As of Wednesday afternoon, the company said they had gotten over 1,000 phone calls.

"It's going to take a couple of weeks, if not a month to clean up all this work," Taylor said.

Over 100 window panes at the Wind Tree apartment complex on Coulter Street in Amarillo were also damaged. Workers from Amarillo Area Glass told us they expect to be repairing windows for at least the next few days.
