Some OKC Area Roads Closed Due to Storms

OKLAHOMA CITY_The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is reporting interstate and road closings or restrictions following a severe storm the spawned a deadly tornado and heavy rains that flooded some roads.

The OHP says Interstate 44 is closed at 119th Street because of downed power lines, and I-235 at 50th is closed by Oklahoma City police.

Interstate 40 in El Reno was restricted to one lane in each direction late Friday night.

The OHP also says State Highway 10 east of Lenapah is closed because of high water.

Interstate 35 through the Oklahoma City metro has reopened.

The Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma City has also reopened but has canceled all Saturday morning flights.
