Posted: Updated:

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Disabled Oklahomans affected by tornadoes and severe weather can apply for work and other assistance at various locations around the state.

Vocational Rehabilitation and Visual Services staff from the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services will take applications from people whose disabilities are barriers to employment.

Progressive Independence Center staff will help get information, equipment, supplies and other resources to those with disabilities affected by the tornados.

DRS' Vocational Rehabilitation and Visual Services divisions provide career counseling, medical and psychological services, training, job placement assistance and other employment-related services as part of a plan to help people get or keep jobs.

Help is available at Westmoore High School in Moore on Wednesdays and Saturdays through June 29. Sites will open June 22 in El Reno, Norman and Shawnee.
