Standoff ends with arrest in Canadian County

Union City, OK- A standoff in Oklahoma is over after sheriff's deputies stormed a house in Union City and arrested a man early Wednesday morning.

It all started when family members told authorities 42-year-old Patrick Wimberly had gone crazy on drugs and was throwing furniture. A Canadian County SWAT team surrounded the house and tried to get Wimberly to come out, but he told his mom they'd have to kill him.

Officers broke down his door around midnight and arrested Wimberly after a fight. They say they found a gun and drugs. He's in the Canadian County Jail awaiting charges this morning.
