Law Enforcement Searching for Escaped Lawton Inmate

Posted: Updated:

LAWTON Okla_ The search is on for an inmate who escaped from the Lawton Community Corrections Center last Thursday.

An affidavit issued Tuesday stated Randell Haynes walked away from his work site near Rogers Lane and Sheridan Road in Lawton. Employees at the business he worked at said they last saw him just before he took his midshift break.

The Department of Corrections staff conducted a freeze count at the facility and an extensive search around the Lawton area, but they were unable to find Haynes. Haynes' relatives were notified immediately, and all local law enforcement was notified of his apparent escape.

We'll keep you updated on this story as it develops.
