Salvation Army Donating Fans During Summer

Posted: Updated:

LAWTON Okla_ This has been the hottest week of the year so far in Texoma. Friday, the temperature is hovering around the century mark again.

So, if you don't have an air conditioner or fan, it's dangerously hot inside, too. Lawton's Salvation Army aims to keep you cool with its annual "Fans for Friends" campaign.

"If you can help our community out there, especially those who are maybe struggling and don't have money to pay their bills and keep their house cooler, we'd like to help them," Salvation Army Lieutenant Israel Roseno said.

Roseno said please only donate new fans. You can deliver them to the Salvation Army at 1306 Southwest "E" Avenue in Lawton. If you need a fan, go the same address.

Remember to take your driver's license, social security card and proof that you live in Comanche County.
