DPS troopers find five pounds of meth in SUV

Amarillo, TX - Nearly $200,000 worth of meth is taken off the streets.

In a traffic stop near Conway on I-40 Monday, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers found more than five pounds of meth stashed inside the door panel of an SUV.

33 year-old Cassie Lynn Mercado of Phoenix, Arizona and 32 year-old Candida Odilia Romero of Avondale, Arizona were both arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.

Troopers believe the drugs were being taken from Phoenix to Oklahoma City.
