Amarillo, TX - New Mexico officials are investigating a wreck today that killed a 13 year-old child.

State police say an SUV was traveling on US Highway 60/84 near Tolar Monday afternoon when the driver approached a curve in the road.

The SUV briefly went off the road before the driver over-corrected, causing the vehicle to roll several times.

A 13 year-old passenger who was not wearing a seatbelt was ejected from the vehicle, and pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, 44 year-old Mona Cleveland and two other children in the vehicle were airlifted to a Lubbock hospital in serious condition.
