Lawton Woman Narrowly Escapes Shooting

LAWTON, Okla._A Lawton driver said she is terrified to drive after she claimed a man fired several shots into her car Friday night. Police said they found the woman's car riddled. She told police she was driving south on Northwest 17th and Hoover, when she noticed a black male standing on the side of the road.

He allegedly brandished a gun and opened fire, hitting her car several times as she drove through an intersection. Fortunately, the woman was not injured but said she felt one of the bullets whiz by her.

Police said the shooting remains under investigation.
