Benefit for Maddy Hunt

Posted: Updated:

LAWTON,Okla_Clear your calendars for this Sunday.  A little girl in Lawton needs your help.
A benefit for 8 year old Maddy Hunt will take place on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Maddy is battling leukemia for the second time.  She's got all kinds of support around her but now her family needs your support.   Maddy's medical expenses are piling up  and community organizers are asking for your help.

"But the thing is, I'm a mother and a grandmother and I'm lucky to have healthy children.  And that's what I'm saying, everybody look into your heart and let's get together and help this child and maybe, just maybe, she'll be cancer free," said Pam Pratz, the fundraiser's organizer.

Their goal for this event, $50,000. Again the dinner will be this Sunday, July 14th at the Lawton VFW on northeast 20th Street from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.  There will also be some entertainment to go along with your meal as well as bingo, an auction, and a dance featuring the Chris Caldwell band.

Tickets are $20 a person but children under 6 get in free.  All proceeds go to Maddy's family to help pay for her medical expenses, travel, lodging, and food.
