Greg Abbott making campaign stop in Wichita Falls Tuesday

Wichita Falls- A Wichita Falls native who wants to be the next governor of Texas will be in Texoma today.

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott will make a campaign appearance at his boyhood home on Randel Drive in Wichita Falls starting at 5:30 Tuesday evening.The Republican formally announced his plans to seek the governor's office over the weekend in San Antonio.

Longtime Governor Rick Perry announced last week he would not seek a fourth-term in office. Abbott is considered one of the top GOP contenders to succeed him.
