DPS troopers find over 200 pounds of pot

Amarillo, TX - Hundreds of pounds of marijuana are off the street after a traffic stop along I-40.

It happened Wednesday morning just before 8:00 when DPS troopers pulled over an eastbound car near Conway.

Troopers searched the vehicle and found 227 pounds of marijuana in the trunk.

The drugs are estimated to be worth over $100,000. The driver from El Paso was booked into the Carson County jail.
