Motorcycle crash kills Lawton attorney

Posted: Updated:

Near Snyder- Oklahoma Highway Patrol says an overnight motorcycle crash killed longtime Lawton attorney Kenny Rhoads early Thursday.

It happened on Highway 62 in Kiowa County at mile marker 61 a few minutes after midnight. That's near Snyder. Troopers say an 18-year-old Snyder girl did not yield to traffic on Highway 62 when she was crossing the road. A west bound motorcycle driven by 52-year-old Kenneth Rhoades of Lawton hit the pickup. He was taken by ambulance to Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus where he was pronounced dead.

A passenger on Rhoades' motorcycle, 29-year-old Jodi Trotter of Indiahoma, was taken to Comanche County Memorial Hospital with multiple injuries. She was listed in critical condition at last check. OHP says Rhoades and Trotter were not wearing helmets.
