Colorado town considering hunting licenses for aerial drones

Posted: Updated:

Deer Trail, CO - One Colorado town is considering issuing hunting licenses for aerial drones.

City leaders in Deer Trail say the licenses would cost $25.

And a $100 reward would be offered to anyone who provides identifiable pieces of a drone.

Officials say the ordinance is mostly symbolic and recognize it's against the law to destroy Federal property.

The Mayor has even proposed a festival with drone-themed skeet shooting to increase tourism.
