Cache police searching for chase suspect

Cache, Okla._Cache Police are searching for a driver who took them on a 10-minute pursuit in the early morning hours Thursday.

Police started chasing the driver after seeing him speed out of a gas station on "H" Avenue after midnight. One officer tried to stop him by pulling in front of his pick-up truck, but the suspect slammed it into reverse, narrowly missing an officer's cruiser.

The suspect continued west on "H" and then turned south onto Highway 115. That's when he started zig zagging through country roads before wrecking his truck at Paint and Coombs Roads. The suspect took off running through a nearby field and got away.

Police a have recovered a wallet from the scene and the truck was impounded for evidence. Officers are also looking at surveillance video from the gas station. If you have any information on this crime, please call Cache Police at 580-429-3381.
