Lawton Police Investigating Early Morning Drive-By

LAWTON, Okla_Lawton Police are investigating a drive by shooting on the 2100 block of Hoover.

Police received a call just before 4 am Sunday morning of a 36 year old female with an injury to the forehead as a result of the shooting.

Police say occupants of an unknown vehicle fired shots into the house and then drove away. Our photographer on scene spotted at least 2 shell casings.

The shots fired into the house impacted the door frame causing harm to the woman inside. No word on the victim's condition or identity. Police are still working to determine if the victim's injuries are a result of a gunshot wound or if she was hit with debris from the door.

Police have no one in custody however scanner traffic tells us the victim's son is a suspect in a previous shooting. Police are trying to determine if there is any connection.

The situation remains under investigation.
