Altus, Okla._A house caught fire in Altus Wednesday afternoon causing thousands of dollars worth of damage.

Smoke and flames could be seen shooting from the home on North Sunset as firefighters arrived. They say the blaze appears to have started on the home's back porch and quickly spread to the attic. That's where it did most of the damage.

It took firefighters about 45 minutes to put the flames out. Luckily, no one was home at the time. The damage is estimated at around $25-thousand. The cause is undetermined.
