Synthetic marijuana protestors picket on Amarillo street corners

Posted: Updated:

A number of protestors took to the streets in Amarillo Saturday, picketing on various street corners near shops that still sell forms of synthetic marijuana.

Although most of the products being protested are not actually "K2", that's probably what it's most commonly referred to as, as most have effects very similar to K2.

The protestors carried signs that said things like "K2 Kills" and advocated against the sale and use of these products that they believe are dangerous.

"What ever we can do to get it off the streets, so that no one else has to watch someone suffer with addiction," said protestor Wendy Vandenboogerde. "Anything you can do to make a difference."
