Lawton Police are investigating an assault with a deadly weapon

LAWTON,Okla_Lawton police are investigating an assault with a deadly weapon after a woman told police her husband took aim at her and her daughter with a crossbow. 

Police arrived at the apartment complex on northwest 82nd Street where they found the woman and daughter outside. The woman told police she and her husband had argued when he forced her and her daughter outside. He then pointed a crossbow at them and she called police.

Dozens of officers arrived, the man had barricaded himself inside the apartment and was refusing to come out.  A half hour later police were able to coax him out of the apartment.

He returned some belongings to his wife. No arrests were made, but police say the incident remains under investigation.
