Walters Lifts Boil Advisory

WALTERS Okla_ The City of Walters has lifted the boil authority, which had directed all residents to boil water before drinking it.

They said the problem has been corrected, and it is no longer necessary to boil drinking water. The city released a statement Friday apologizing for any inconvenience to residents. The statement went on to state the following:

"There may continue to be a dirt smell and taste for another few days due to residual water in the distribution system, or water in your home system, especially your hot water tank.  Customers are advised to flush your household system including your hot water tank to alleviate the taste and odor problem faster.

As always, you may contact John Sheppard, City Manager, at City Hall 580-875-3337 or Joey Spence, Water Plant Operator at 580-875-2542 with any comments or questions."
