Altus Police Suspect Car Burglar in Other Crimes

ALTUS Okla_ Altus police now believe the man they arrested last week in conjunction with a rash of car burglaries is responsible for at least 21 burglaries in the City of Altus and is possibly the ring leader behind dozens of others in Texas.

Detective Devin Barrington of the Altus Police Department is working with police in both Vernon and Wichita Falls to determine if similar burglaries are the work of 37-year-old Tony Baker. He was arrested last week when police spotted his car. They said they believe there may also be many other burglaries in the area he is responsible for and urge victims to come forward with any evidence or knowledge of the crimes.

They expect this to be a lengthy investigation.
