Bench's Mental Evaluation Unsealed

Posted: Updated:

Duncan, Ok_The mental health evaluation of Miles Bench was unsealed Thursday.

Bench underwent the evaluation in February 2013 after his attorney said he did not believe his client was fit to undergo further legal proceedings.

Bench is accused of murdering Braylee Henry, 16, on June 6, 2012.  During his evaluation at the Oklahoma Forensic Center in Vinita, Oklahoma, Bench told a psychologist that he experienced hallucinations.

He also said at times, he felt the devil was out to get him and "the devil was out for everybody." Despite the claims, the report said Bench's intellectual functioning was within or above average and the psychologist concluded that Bench was mentally competent to undergo legal proceedings.

Bench's attorney said he believed his client got better during his time in jail.  He is expected to enter a plea during his arraignment in September.
