Comanche County Jail is Overcrowded

Comanche County, Ok_Comanche County's jail is overcrowded.

Jail administrator Bill Hobbs said, Monday, that's the case with almost every county in the state, because of a trickle-down effect of overcrowding at state prisons.

The county jail's capacity is 283, and the latest count is 306.  They're making arrangements for how inmates are placed in cells, since they're prohibited from making them sleep on the floor.

Hobbs said he's currently working with the state about scheduling inmate transfers to get back under the capacity.
