Shamrock, TX - Texas State Troopers discover $215,850 worth of stolen jewelry during a routine traffic stop Saturday, August 24, 2013.

The Department of Public Safety reports pulling over a vehicle traveling West on I 40 outside of Shamrock.

A police K9 unit alerted the car, leading officers to find jewelry, gold and silver hidden in the trunk side panels.

Troopers say the items had bar codes that proved they were stolen from a Macy's Department Store in Birmingham, Alabama.

The driver, Michael Bourgeois, was arrested and booked into the Wheeler County jail for possession of stolen property.
