Posted: Updated:

DUNCAN, Okla_Support is still pouring in for the family of Chris Lane, the 22-year old Australian who was laid to rest on Wednesday after becoming the victim of a random attack in Duncan.

A local woman with a soft spot for student athletes is hosting a 5-K run on Monday in his honor.

There will be a one mile fun run set for 8 AM, followed by the 5-K at 8:30.

The events will be held at Halliburton Park.

Money raised will be put towards the Chris Lane Memorial Scholarship Fund.

If you have any questions contact the event organizer, Sonya Hill at 580-284-9375.
