At least 1 injured in stabbing at high school

SPRING, Texas (AP) _ A 16-year-old boy has been airlifted from a high school in suburban Houston with stab wounds suffered in an altercation at the campus.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office says it responded about 7 a.m. Wednesday to Spring High School to a report of a stabbing. Spring is about 20 miles north of Houston.

A dispatcher for the air ambulance at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston confirmed the boy was transported shortly before 8 a.m. CDT. The dispatcher did not know the severity of the boy's injuries.

Multiple emergency vehicles were seen at the entrance to the school.
