Posted: Updated:

Colin Deaver joined the 7 Sports team in August of 2013. He comes to Lawton from the Pacific Northwest, where he recently graduated with a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Oregon in Eugene. While completing his degree, Colin worked as a sports photographer/reporter at KMTR NewsSource16 and he was privileged to cover Oregon and Oregon State athletics, as well as the greater Eugene/Springfield area.

While at Oregon, Colin served as the Sports Director at KWVA Eugene 88.1, the UO's student radio station. In doing so, he was thrilled to be able to travel to the 2013 Fiesta Bowl, where the Ducks defeated Kansas State. He also did play-by-play broadcasts for the Oregon volleyball and softball teams, and he was the voice of the South Eugene High School football and basketball teams from 2011 to 2013.

Colin was born and raised in Durango, Colorado, and is a big fan of the Denver Nuggets, Denver Broncos, and Colorado Rockies. Basketball is his favorite sport, and he is always looking for a good pick-up game.

Colin is incredibly excited to be in Lawton and interact with the community. He can't wait to see everything that the great state of Oklahoma has to offer. If you have questions, comments, story ideas, or would just like to say hello, you can reach him by email at cdeaver@kswo.com, or find him on Twitter @ColinDeaver.
