UPDATE: Amarillo boy killed after trying to run across access road, driver charged with DWI

AMARILLO, TX - The man who was behind the wheel when he struck and killed an eleven year old Amarillo boy Friday night has been charged with DWI.

The driver, Jeremy Duncan was found to be intoxicated at the time of the accident. He was arrested and booked into the Randall County Jail. 

DPS officials say the two boys were reported to have been purposefully running across the road and attempting to dodge cars before one of them was hit.

The one eleven year old boy was killed, and the other was uninjured.
