Posted: Updated:

ELGIN,Okla_One woman was injured Tuesday night in a house fire near Elgin.

No word on how the blaze started or the extent of the woman's injuries.  Our photographer said she was taken away by medical helicopter.

Witnesses said they pulled the woman to safety from the burning home.  Her husband escaped without injury.

The home is located near the intersection of Rockridge and Prairie View Roads on Elgin's northwest side. Witnesses said it appeared the fire started in the master bedroom and then spread.

The home is likely to be a total loss. Firefighters from three area departments were still trying to put out the flames at  9:30p.m, about two hours after the fire started.
