OK Fire Marshal: Elgin Fire Totaled Home

ELGIN Okla_ The Oklahoma State Fire Marshal has released information on Tuesday night's house fire in Elgin.

They say that the home is a total loss, and due to findings during the initial investigation, the state fire marshal's office plans to present a case to the Comanche County District Attorney's office. Neighbors had to rescue a woman in the house. At last report, she was in an Oklahoma City burn center.

The fire claimed the home in Country Aire Estates Subdivision. Witnesses had pulled the woman to safety before they got there. She was flown to Integris Hospital, and we're told she is in intensive care.

Firefighters say it appears to have started in the master bedroom. Crews from at several departments stayed on the scene for hours overnight.

We'll keep you updated.
